Our Volunteers

The Club is built on the skills, time, effort and financial contributions of our volunteers at all levels.

Volunteers in season 2011

The North Hobart Junior Football Club thanks all volunteers for season 2011.

We recognise your immensely important roles and valuable contributions.

It was business as usual for our legion of dedicated volunteers.

Organising training, matches, fundraising, attending meetings, standing in the rain and wind and maybe disagreeing with a few decisions and outcomes.

Through good and bad the momentum just kept going forward.

Why volunteer in 2012

If you volunteered last year and you are having doubts about this year, don't give up or think it's someone else's turn - come back this year and make the experience even better.

If you are thinking about helping out but you are worried about time constraints there are many ways to contribute that don't necessarily involve too much commitment.

If you are keen to get more out of your child's involvement or improve the team's fortunes and you want to contribute your skills and experience or gain new skills and experience then volunteering can work for you.

Likewise you may have an interest in administration and football matters in general - then committee work or team management may suit you.

Recognition for volunteers

There are many ways in which the work of our volunteers is formally recognised.

Life membership, volunteers evenings, the Club's participation in the AFL Volunteer Recognition Program, the STJFL Coaches and Volunteers Awards and the Jim Bacon Award in conjunction with the North Hobart Football Club.

How to volunteer

Whether you have an interest in team duties, administration (including Committee membership) or fundraising there are a huge number of opportunities to contribute.

The Club is always looking for new volunteers and welcomes your interest.

Contact Julie Doran on 0417 584 180 or complete the Volunteer Choices form.

Give the form to a team official or Committee member or post to NHJFC, PO Box 391, North Hobart 7002.
